Had a great time this weekend on my long run with my awesome wife Pamela!
We started off our ten mile run with a short three miles to Holland Park the site of the Fishers Freedom Festival 5k. We made it to the start line with five minutes to spare, warmed up and ready to run the 5k!
We had a fantastic time running the 5k, it was a beautiful morning and there were lots of people there.
The only thing I didn't like about the race this year was that instead of t-shirts they gave out bandanas! What am I going to do with a bandana? HAHAhAH
Anyway after the race I grabbed a quick break for some water at the Indy Runners tent. If you have never been to the Indy Runners tent before or after a race I suggest you stop by! Our time at the tent was brief because remember we were in the middle of our Saturday mourning ten mile run. It was fun tossing a quick 5k in the middle though!
After our quick water break it was back on the road for another four miles and back home!
I must say this was a wonderful weekend run, but then again every run with my wife is wonderful!
Well here we are about to have a great saturday morning long run in Santa Barbara!
I am going to do 13.1 miles and Pamela is going to run 17 miles!
We are starting at Shorline Park on the Mesa and running along the coast past the Biltmore up into Montecito, then turning around and running back.
When we get back to Shorline Park I will be done but Pamela will turn around run two more miles, turn around and run back, giving her the four extra miles she needs for her 17 mile long run today.
It was an absolutely beautiful run, except for the part where I forgot my sunblock! Next time Pamela asks me if I need sunblock I wont be in a hurry to get out the door!!! Thank heaven I had sense enough not to forget my hat!!!
Here we are after the run, you can see part of the coast line we covered behind us we ran everything you can see in the photo and more!!!
I am looking forward to our next trip back to Santa Barbara and some more wonderful miles there with my sweetheart!!!
Feeling pretty god after my 15 mile run yesterday, so headed out this morning in what seems a heat wave, it's 30° F out this morning and got a quick mile in with Pamela to maintain my 2012 Run Every Day streak!
Enjoying a fabulous weekend in Chicago with Pamela, we braved the 16F weather with a little snow but it was so worth it, we ran along Lakeshore drive and enjoyed a beautiful view of Lake Michigan this morning for an AWESOME 15 mile run!
Had a very fun dual treadmill run with Pamela at The Blackstone in Chicago this evening before a very lovely dinner! Staying up SUPER late and have a 15 mile run scheduled for the morning, we'll see...
Another late night run but it was awesome! I got to run with my sweetie tonight! We talked and had a great time running past a few bars peeking in at the drunk people and thought we were just the stuff out running !!! Oh yeah and finally got n a few extra miles!!!
