#119 ~ Fishers Freedom Festival 5k

Had a great time this weekend on my long run with my awesome wife Pamela!

We started off our ten mile run with a short three miles to Holland Park the site of the Fishers Freedom Festival 5k. We made it to the start line with five minutes to spare, warmed up and ready to run the 5k!

We had a fantastic time running the 5k, it was a beautiful morning and there were lots of people there.

The only thing I didn't like about the race this year was that instead of t-shirts they gave out bandanas! What am I going to do with a bandana? HAHAhAH

Anyway after the race I grabbed a quick break for some water at the Indy Runners tent. If you have never been to the Indy Runners tent before or after a race I suggest you stop by! Our time at the tent was brief because remember we were in the middle of our Saturday mourning ten mile run. It was fun tossing a quick 5k in the middle though!

After our quick water break it was back on the road for another four miles and back home!

I must say this was a wonderful weekend run, but then again every run with my wife is wonderful!

#118 ~ i run amuck Half Marathon

Had a fantastic time at this weekends "i run amuck' half marathon with my incredible wife Pamela!

It was a fun out and back course on the Monon Trail.

It was HOT but we took it slow and enjoyed the run.

Afterwards we enjoyed a few brews with some great i run amuck people at Union Jacks in Broad Ripple.

If you have not heard of the i run amuck club be sure to check them out!!!

#117 ~ Ragnar Chicago 2012

I ran the Ragnar Relay from Madison WI to Chicago IL, this weekend, that's 200 miles!

We started running Friday morning, ran through the night and finished up Saturday evening!

Our team consisted of nine members including myself, made of up family and friends.

Generally teams are made of of twelve but we had three drop out at the last minute, so several of us took an extra leg!

I ran legs 11, 23, 31 & 35.

It was very hot for most of the race and I have to say my favorite was my 3:30 am 7.1 mile leg. It was the coolest of all my legs and it went by very quickly.

It was certainly a great adventure, and although along the way I grumbled I would never do it again, I can hardly wait to sign up for next year :)

Best of all I got to run across the finish line not only with all my amazing teammates but also my incredible wife Pamela!

She really keeps me inspired! Now if I could just keep up pace with her I would be in business!!!

If you have never done a Relay like this before I must say it is well worth it and the experience will last a lifetime!

Keep on Running!!!!

#116 ~ Sunburst Half Marathon

Had a great run this weekend at the 2012 Sunburst Races.

My lovely wife set a Half Marathon PR, nothing new here she seems to do that all the time!

My niece Tabitha ran her first Half Marathon and we think she's hooked!

Course was beautiful, support was fantastic, finisher medals were sad. I have run this race several times over the years and it seems it has lost a bit of its fun and soul :(

But I was lucky enough to have awesome people with me and when you have that you can run anywhere anytime!!!
